Tiara Tuesday

#tiaratuesday   This week is actually a post with abundance of Magnificent Jewels as well as a diamond that has its own video and in two languages, no less.     Which of the Magnificent Jewels lots are your favourite? Personally, I would never say no to sapphires but all of the Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. Designs are what I would bid...

Halloween Inspiration

We have all seen the Buzzfeed articles about Halloween ideas but I always find inspiration lacking every year.  Red Riding Hood or vampire is my default because I have a red cape or body glitter, toga and voila! Greek goddess in under five minutes.  Yet this year I am fresh out of ideas and want to try something new… Lust List: Face Lace Lace Cape CAPE Splashing out on some shoulder bling  (add some red or black lips on an all black outfit for a vamp or witch). This incredible jumpsuit. A skeleton hand, much cheaper than the shoulder...

It has been pretty quiet of late as Amy and I have both been given increasing responsibilities at work – which make us sound like we started as security risks and have now managed to ‘adult’ (not far from the truth in my case). In light of that I am going to begin posting again but with much more streamlined approach. Tuesdays are strictly for tiara’s / jewels and Fridays are all about the tunes for the weekend. Hopefully this will motivate me to go to more exhibitions and actually write about them, rather than looking at the rain outside and...

A song to play you out: Blonde’s All Cried Out is a tune to strut your way out of work to. What to watch: (aside from Great British Bake Off, obviously) I am waiting for Lady Chatterley’s Lover

Come with me now on a journey through Time and Space… #tiaratuesday Princess Andrew’s tiara Both the woman and the tiara have an amazing history; really recommend a close read of this interesting princess. An update on the Potters in time for the first week at Hogwarts! This seems an incredibly useful app, much safer than the ‘text when home but actually we’ll both fall asleep’ approach. Taylor Swift: A Socratic Dialogue “Women made great spies precisely because of the way 19th-century society underestimated them.” Karen Abbott on how women...

Get that Friday Feeling!

A song to play you out: I have been listening to Sam Hunt a lot this summer, because the country comes out in me as soon as the sun starts shining.   What to watch: I love J. Aniston and both her and Isla Fisher’s styling in this film is on point. Life of Crime is light and amusing, but I felt they could have gone a little further with it – the last scene makes the entire...

Come with me now on a journey through Time and Space… Apologies for being quiet of late, my laptop has reached its twilight years so I have been trying to coax it into working, with mixed results*. Coupled with an amazing heatwave here in London I decided a sabbatical from life was required whilst I try to find career inspiration! #tiaratuesday : Tatler kindly gave us a slideshow of tiaras Yet I think I’d prefer these  Peridots as a gift of George IV [© Victoria and Albert Museum, London] The columns over at The Coveteur always crack me...
