2. Rose Writes About Her Favourites
Rose from The Londoner goes through her luxuriant makeup kit. She uses a refreshing combination of drug store finds and decadent investments. Many of the products she reviews are great for soothing Canadian winter ravaged skin. It’s Valentine’s Day – a good excuse for a trip to the nearest beauty counter! 3. 100 Layer Cake Reinvents The Crayon
The ladies at 100 Layer Cake know how to make party favours! Check out these heart shaped crayons, a perfect alternative to sending your kid to school on Valentine’s Day with candy to hand out. 4. Life Once Removed: A Satirical Look at the American Dream
American photographer Suzanne Heintz was tired of answering the same old questions about why she wasn’t married, why didn’t she have children, when was she going to settle?
“It was getting late,” she says, “Seriously late for a woman my age not to have a ring on her finger. People said, ‘You’re such a nice girl, why aren’t you married?’ No one actually used that out of date word, but, what they were driving at was that I was a “Spinster,” and I got tired of hearing about it.”
So she took matters into her own hands and started a series that features a plastic family. One that she purchased. Read more about this series here.
5. Chloe, Maxime and Justine Dufour-Lapointe – Canada’s Sweethearts!
Three French Canadian sisters competed in the Women’s Moguls on Sunday and dominated the international competition. Justine won gold, Chloe was awarded a silver and Maxime, just a day after her 25th birthday came in twelfth. You can follow the sisters and their Sochi adventures on Twitter here. I don’t think this is the last time we’ll be hearing of these darlings!
