Guilty Pleasure: Olsens Anonymous
…and then there were three (to stalk)!
I read a lot of blogs. A lot. They are my guilty pleasure. I used to buy fashion magazines, then that got too spenny for a graduate student. I discovered Olsens Anonymous while living in London and have been hooked for years. I hate to say it, but these girls are the tastemakers of our generation. From Full House to The Row, they have it going on.
Here are some reasons why you need to check out Olsens Anonymous:
I’ve always had a weird affinity for the twins — but now there is a new Olsen on the scene, Elizabeth. She’s even more fun to follow. Less waify, more human. She’s making a career for herself under her own steam — have you seen Liberal Arts, and her style is more relatable to the average girl. Elizabeth seems to be more comfortable in the limelight, with a more masculine style than her bohemian older sisters.
You can’t have missed the dress the Mary Kate and Ashley designed for their friend Molly Fishkin. It’s being talked about everywhere. Now, that is a wedding dress! See more photos from this stunning wedding here, including what the designers themselves wore to the nuptials. I hope they do more wedding pieces, this classic lace gown is bang on.
Olsens Anonymous fulfills my need for a little celebrity gossip, and these girls are seriously attuned to what’s hot in the fashion world. The site even provides links to where you can buy each item (or one similar) and the pieces aren’t all astronomically priced. With the allure of famous boyfriends (Mary Kate is dating Nicholas Sarkozy’s half brother) and an apartment most would kill to live in (see a tour here) — you’ll be addicted soon enough.
