Come with me now on a journey through Time and Space . . .

Quote of the week:

Ayn-Rand

First, an apology – last week I was traversing the Atlantic on a delayed flight with no internet, films or even cards to amuse me, just the gossiping of the lovely cabin crew to get me through.

This week the campaign to ban the word bossy has been on everyone’s lips so this week I thought I would focus on the ‘ladieez’. Personally, I would prefer to take after the strong female role models labelled bossy than worry about what people were calling me.

An article looking at all the ways over the years ladies and gentlemen have tried to come up with effective over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders.

The article above might also make you appreciate just how much clothing these girls have to squeeze into in what must be the most unusual of beauty pageants. On the other hand, this is what it must feel like to actually dress like a Disney princess.

I stumbled across these women and loved their message – it was something I had not properly considered, having been raised studying artists like Louise Bourgeois or Tracey Emin. Definitely worth a look.

Finally, to the passing generations of women and the creation of something beautiful I had also never heard of.

Tiara Tuesday: Tutti – Frutti! Such a fun phrase and beautifully odd tiara to match. I quite like the bandeau style, like an ornamental alice band.
